Netflix does not show IMDB ratings in its interface. Their algorithm promotes content based on what keeps you subscribed, not necessarily what is highest quality. Rotten Tomatoes adds a different perspective. The Tomatometer tells you what percentage of professional critics gave a positive review, while the audience score reflects regular viewers. When both scores are high — say 90% critics and 85% audience — you have found something genuinely special. When they diverge wildly, that is interesting too: it usually means the movie is polarizing, which can be exactly what you are in the mood for.
